Halloween 2010

Halloween was a blast in the neighborhood. Kate was a brave girl! She stood at the base of Mark Goslen's haunted house and growled at him! She wouldn't go up and get candy from him (he had his Michael Myers mask on...oooh...creepy), but she did hold her ground and didn't run away. Proud of my fearless little girl! ; )
Both "Cinderella" and "The Pokey Puppy" had a great time. And...both were wiped out by 6:30pm! Nighty-night little halloweeners...see you next year!

Video Skills
Okay, I'm not the greatest videographer that ever lived, but these aren't that bad as they were taken on my phone. Sometimes that's the most handy device...enjoy! (I think I need an iPhone, Santa!!)

Happy 4th of July
We had a good, yet uneventful, 4th this year. Which is good because Mark decided to get the new "high range" tree trimmer a whirl at 3:30 in the afternoon. Yeah - it was wicked hot and the kids were both up from nap. Not a great time to be knocked unconscious by a falling branch. Anyhoo...he survived and we spent our evening at a neighbor's eating and watching some nice Walmart-supplied fireworks. Luke missed those, but Kate had a blast. She will be ready for the big ones next year at Tanglewood! (So will Mommy...I miss seeing fireworks!!)
ps...Luke decided he wanted "pretty nails" too! He's getting in touch w/ his feminine side. : 0

Potty Training
Big day for Mr. Luke...we started potty training! His first words to me this morning were: "Mommy, go potty!" So we did...and he didn't, but he did later! ; )
Kate started cooking camp this week. She made a frittata and cinnamon honey sticky buns. She ate a new food - dried pineapple rings - and loved them! She didn't remember what was in the frittata, but she was pretty tired. She came home and crashed in her bed! Cooking is hard work! ; )
